Reunion Invitation
As fellow descendants of William and Emma Luke, we extend a warm invitation to all interested parties to join our family reunion to be held in Manti, Utah, USA on June 18-19, 2006. This invitation is for descendents of both the Luke and Perkins families, representing several relationships going back and forward in time from William (1801-1853) and Emma (1803-1865)..

A special feature of our Manti reunion will be a reader’s theatre that tells the unusual story of William’s (1801) odyssey from Manchester to Manti in search of an earthly Zion and of his tragic demise at the hands of a band of Indians in Fountain Green, one of the venues we will explore (hence the reason for choosing Manti for this event). This production was written by Rosalind Crosby and includes music, text from original family letters and the moving, unfolding of a heart rending story. If you know of any details about this story that are not commonly know to family members, we would love to have you share that with us.
